Very quietly, Apple teased in their WWDC 2019 schedule that ReplayKit will be available on macOS later this year, along with new support for hearing health in HealthKit.
ReplayKit is a framework that allows recording and streaming video from the screen, and audio from the app and microphone. It is currently available only for iOS 9.0+ and tvOS 10.0+. But it has been pointed out that macOS is listed among these two platforms for session 6050 – a ReplayKit Lab.
It’s still unclear how this hearing technology will be included on HealthKit, but it is said that iOS Health could store the results of application-based hearing tests.
WWDC is scheduled to begin on June 3. It is widely rumored that Apple will debut new versions of macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, as well as reveal a new modular Mac Pro.
