With WWDC fast approaching, it is not surprising that Apple users’ expectations are growing by the day. The newest rumor is that the company is planning on bringing iOS and macOS products closer than before.
It is said that the upcoming macOS 10.15 will support Siri Shortcuts (a feature which gives users the opportunity to create custom voice shortcuts for particular actions done in apps). This suggests the very likely inclusion of the Shortcuts app, which, to date, iOS users have to download from the App Store, since it is not bundled with the system.
Furthermore, it is believed that Screen Time is also going to make an appearance on macOS 10.15. The iOS feature in question shows users the amount of time they’ve spent on their device, including individual statistics for every app they use. According to reports, Screen Time for Mac will work the same way it does for iOS devices.
And that’s not all – Apple is planning on bringing a new Apple ID management panel to System Preferences, plus better support for Family Sharing configurations. iMessage effects like confetti, fireworks, lasers and others are on the list of new additions as well.
As we’ve already stated in previous articles, macOS 10.15 is expected to be released for beta testing the same day as the start of WWDC – June 3rd.
