Yet another repair program is being launched by Apple. This time, the subject of the repair is the Apple Watch (Series 2 and Series 3). According to their official statement:
Photo: Apple“Apple has determined that, under very rare circumstances, a crack may form along the rounded edge of the screen in aluminum models. The crack may begin on one side and then may continue around the screen as shown in the images below.”
Apart from the aluminum Series 2 and Series 3 watches, the repair program also applies to the Nike+ models and cellular variants. In the case of the Series 3, only models which were purchased through September 2019 are eligible. This distinction would mean that either Apple has already resolved the issue, or plans to discontinue the Series 3 watches altogether.
As a whole, cases of cracked Apple Watch screens are known to be common.
