With Apple’s September 10 event, users are left confused as to why there were no Mac-related announcements, apart from the macOS Catalina release date. The widely rumored 16-inch MacBook and the newly redesigned Mac Pro with the new Pro XDR display were a no-show at the iPhone 11 event.

So far, Apple has upgraded the Macbook Pro‘s processor back in May. However, rumors that the company is preparing a 16-inch MacBook has been widely circulation the internet since June. Even though the MacBook in question did not make an appearance at the September event, it is still expected to be unveiled by the end of the year. This theory is supported by Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo.

Looking back at Apple’s event history, we can expect a Mac-oriented event in October. Last year, the company chose to reveal the new MacBook Air and Mac mini at the end of October, so the hope for a 2019 launch remains alive.

Also, macOS Catalina is planned to launch in October. Meaning, that the OS will be ready, should the company chooses to announce new Mac products.

The 16-inch MacBook is said to have an edge-to-edge display, a new scissor switch keyboard, as well as Face ID.
