How to Remove ApplicationEvents Virus from your Mac

Remove ApplicationEvents Virus manually

  1. Press ⇧+⌘+U keys simultaneously to open Utilities, or click onGoand then openUtilities”.
  2. Go to Activity Monitor and double-click it.
  3. Check for any suspicious processes in the Activity Monitor and select “Force Quit” to quit them completely.
  4. Press “Go” again and select Applications.
  5. Check for any suspicious app names identical or similar to ApplicationEvents and if you find any, right-click on them and select “Move to Trash”.
  6. Go to Accounts and click on the Login Items preference. You will see a list of items that start automatically when you log in. If you notice any suspicious apps identical or similar to ApplicationEvents, check the ones you want to stop from running automatically and select the Minus (“–“) icon to hide them.
  7. Delete the left-over files that might be related to ApplicationEvents by following the steps below:
  • Go to Finder.
  • Type the name of the app you want to delete in the search bar.
  • Change the drop down menus above the search bar to “System Files” and “Are Included” and you will see all the files associated with the application you want to delete.
  • To remove all files that are related to ApplicationEvents, hold the ⌘+A buttons simultaneously to select them and drag them to “Trash”.
