Yesterday, Apple officially released the latest edition of its laptop line-up. The 16-inch MacBook Pro is different because it is the largest Mac that Apple has ever launched. Until yesterday, the biggest MacBook Pro the company was selling was the 15-inch model. However, soon after the release of the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple stops selling the old 15-inch MacBook Pro in India and also globally.

The Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch is even not listed on the Apple website anymore. It is a clear sign that this model of the MacBook Pro is no longer sold by Apple. Most probably, the company has discontinued the 15-inch MacBook Pro as it comes with the same price as the new16-inch MacBook Pro.

The newly released 16-inch laptop comes with a price of Rs 1,99,900 in India. There is no doubt that the latest MacBook offers better value than its old version and that’s the main reason why Apple stops selling the 15-inch model. The 16-inch MacBook Pro is already available in India via Apple Authorized Resellers.

The new MacBook Pro comes with a 16-inch Retina display with 3072×1920 resolution, up to 64GB of memory, 8-core processors, next-generation graphics with up to 8GB of VRAM. The 16-inch laptop features a new advanced thermal design and new Magic Keyboard with a redesigned scissor mechanism seen on the previous generation Macs. Apart from the other innovations, the Magic Keyboard on the latest MacBook Pro has a physical Escape key and an inverted T arrangement for the arrow keys.

The 16-inch laptop also includes a six-speaker sound system, Touch Bar, Touch ID, the Force Touch trackpad and the Apple T2 Security Chip. According to Apple, the new MacBook Pro offers a longer battery life that lasts up to 11 hours of wireless web browsing or Apple TV app video playback time in a single charge.

Presently, Apple is selling 13-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models in India. The 13-inch MacBook Pro is offered at a price of Rs 1,19,900 in India for the base model. Both the 16-inch and 13-inch models come in two colors – silver and space gray.
