Last week, Apple launched the first update to iOS 13 which brought a few innovations like the CPU throttling feature, Share ETA, Shortcuts Automations, and an improved volume indicator. However, after the Bluetooth security bugs appeared, the company had to seed iOS 13.1.1, which brought some improvements to the Safari and Reminders applications.

“Upgraded reminders aren’t compatible with earlier versions of iOS and macOS. If you upgrade your reminders on your iPhone with iOS 13, your iPad and Mac using the same iCloud account can’t access your reminders until iPadOS and macOS 10.15 Catalina are available,” Apple wrote in its support page.

Yesterday, the company released a second update with iOS 13.1.2 whose main purpose is solving the iCloud Backup problems, camera and Bluetooth issues, and several minor bugs.

Together with the latest iPhone update, Apple launched a small update for iPad OS that solves similar issues.

Apart from iOS 13 and iPad OS, WatchOS also received an update in order to fix some watchface issues and prevent display calibration data loss.

iOS 13.1.2 update features:

  • Fixes a bug where the progress bar for iCloud Backup could continue to show after a successful backup
  • Fixes an issue where Camera may not work
  • Addresses an issue where the flashlight may not activate
  • Fixes a bug that could result in a loss of display calibration data
  • Fixes an issue where shortcuts could not be run from HomePod
  • Addresses an issue where Bluetooth may disconnect on certain vehicles

iPadOS 13.1.2 features:

  • Fixes a bug where the progress bar for iCloud Backup could continue to show after a successful backup
  • Fixes an issue where shortcuts could not be run from HomePod

watchOS 6.0.1 features:

  • Resolves an issue where the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse watch face does not speak time
