Thanks to its latest update, Apple Music’s Android application is now able to stream to Chromecast devices.
According to 9to5Google, Chromecast support has been available in the beta version of the app since August, however, since yesterday, it is already available to all users.
Apart from the Chromecast support, the Apple Music app now includes a dark mode, which supports Android 10’s system-wide setting, and is capable of accessing radio stations via TuneIn, iHeartRadio, and Radio.com. Android Police announces that the service can now access as many as 100,000 radio stations via these services.
Adding new features to its Android application, including the Android Auto support which was added to the app a week ago, is very important for users as Apple is turning into a company that is increasingly reliant on service subscriptions for its revenue. At the same time, Apple aims to provide appealing services, regardless of the hardware which users prefer to use.
