Yesterday, Apple released macOS Mojave 10.14.5. This is the fifth official update to the macOS Mojave since September 2018.

macOS Mojave 10.14.5 launches nearly a month after the release of macOS Mojave 10.14.4, which introduced Apple News+ support for the first time.

Mac users can download the new macOS Mojave 10.14.5 by going to the “Software Update” section of System Preferences and selecting the option “Update Now”.

macOS Mojave 10.14.5 is focused on performance improvements and bug fixes regarding various issues which have been found since the first launch of macOS Mojave 10.14.4.

No major feature changes or updates have been made during the beta version, however, according to Apple’s release notes, macOS Mojave 10.14.5 features AirPlay 2 support together with bug fixes and improved audio latency on 2018 MacBook Pro models.

macOS Mojave 10.14.5 update features:

– AirPlay 2 support for sharing videos, photos, music and more from your Mac directly to your AirPlay 2-enabled smart TV.
– Ability to follow a magazine from the Apple News+ catalog browsing view.
– Improved audio latency on 2018 MacBook Pro models.
– Fixed an issue that prevented certain very large OmniOutliner and OmniPlan documents from rendering properly.

As already mentioned above, the previous update, macOS Mojave 10.14.4, featured Apple News+, automatic Dark Mode for Safari, new Safari features, and some other smaller changes and updates.
